Hours:                        35 hours per week                                                                         Location: Fort Albany/Timmins

Summary

 

The Human Resources Clerk will be responsible for helping Human Resource department and management. This position manages all HR related administrative tasks, maintains up-to-date employee records, and provides widespread support to the HR department. The ideal candidate is organized, meticulous, and has excellent people skills.

 

Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Help with clerical and technical support for HR activities.
  • Maintain accurate, up to date and complete personnel records.
  • Collect and maintain employee files, such as applications, resumes, and other documents.
  • Locate filed materials upon request, ensuring that materials are given only to authorized users.
  • Use standardized filing methods and procedures, e.g., alphabetical, numerical.
  • Maintain employee records and files, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
  • Assist HR Generalist with conflict resolution, mediation, and coaching.
  • Complete onboarding and offboarding processes for new and departing employees.
  • Eliminate unnecessary or outdated materials, destroying them or transferring them to inactive storage according to file maintenance/legal guidelines.
  • Other responsibilities and directives as assigned.

 

Requirements

 

  • High school diploma, GED or other equivalent.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR databases.
  • Previous experience in a Human Resources role preferred.
  • Effective communication and attention to detail.
  • Excellent time management skills.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks.

 

Work Conditions

 

  • Manual dexterity required to use desktop computer and peripherals.
  • Able to lift 25 pounds.
