TREATMENT COUNSELLORS
2 Permanent Full-time Positions

DUTIES:

•           Conduct client assessments and review client referral reports

•           Develop, implement, and evaluate client treatment plans

•           Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions

•           Prepare and complete client progress reports

•           Must be willing to do shift work as required

•           Participate in regular case conferencing and staff meetings

•           On Call as required

QUALIFICATIONS:

•     Drug & Alcohol Counsellor Diploma

•     Knowledge of Addiction & related issues, Recovery and Relapse Process

•     Uphold the principles and the standard of practice of the Addiction Intervention Association and the Social Work Code of Ethics

•     Must be Certified or working towards Certifications as an Addictions Counsellor

•     Knowledge of the Aboriginal way of life in the Mushkegowuk territory

•     Support a Culture-Based Treatment Program

•     Excellent communication skills (verbal & written)

•     Must be willing to work in a team setting

•     Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality

•     Ability to speak Cree would be an asset

•     Must have a full Class G driver's license

•     Satisfactory Criminal Record Check (CPIC with Vulnerable Sector, preferably to be included with resume)
