Northern College is seeking a Finance Clerk, Accounts Receivable in our Finance department. The successful candidate will demonstrate the ability to perform work accurately and with attention to detail. Must have strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines.

Reporting to the Director of Finance, the successful candidate will be responsible for general duties of the Finance Department, specifically in accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash receipts, cash disbursements and credit management. The incumbent has College-wide responsibilities in these areas.
What you will be doing:
- Verify completeness and accuracy of invoice requisitions;
- Prepare and issue invoices on the Financial Management System (FMS);
- Post payments to the Accounts Receivable sub ledger and follow- up on any discrepancies;
- Develop and implement appropriate collection procedures for different debtors in accordance with policy; and
- Participate in year-end process as it pertains to A/R functions.

What you will need to be considered:
- Two (2) year diploma in Business Administration with a concentration in Accounting or related/relevant field; and
- Minimum 2 years of practical experience with integrated financial information systems utilizing the general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and student record system modules. Practical experience with A/R collection practices and procedures, as well as, credit management.
